Former Prime ministerĀ and ODM party leader Raila Odinga is obviously working his ways out to recapture political power from the ruling Jubilee Party again after the back to back defeat he has suffered at the hands of the Dp Ruto.
His intentions was made clear to Kenyans during when he attended a church service in Laikipia County.
A while ago, the popular and powerful 2022 Presidential candidate in Nakuru came up with a call to unity called Azimio La Umoja la Wakenya.
“In the book of Psalms 133, the Lord says behold how good and pleasant it is when Brothers dwell in unity,” said Raila.
“That the people of Kenya should be united and there’s no better time than now at this time when we are facing an election than we should come together and unite,” said Raila.
‘We also have seen some signs which are worrying trend where innocent lives are being shed, which is not god for our country,” said Raila.
Raila called for prayers for those who lost their lives in senseless conflict and also appealed to those who were responsible for the conflicts to appreciate respectively the preciousness of life.
“The life of every Kenyan is important and is valid,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy President William Ruto has said that Creating a favourable investment climate will make businesses flourish and millions of jobs generated.
While engaging wananchi at Makutano in Meru town after attending a thanksgiving service at the A.I.P.C.A, St. Lorent Angaine Church ā Timau, Meru County, he said it would in turn raise more tax revenues to support the governmentās development agenda and cushion Kenya against the exorbitant foreign debts.
āThe challenge we have in Kenya is because there are too few people paying taxes. We must make sure the majority of Kenyans pay taxes by making sure the four million young people have work to do or business to do that is the responsibility of government,ā Ruto said
āWe must make sure that every enterprise grows because they have access to credit not shylock. We must make sure every farmer has what it takes to increase their productivity and must have access to market,ā Ruto said.
Ruto said it was how he is would grow the economy rubbishing those he said who tell the wananchi things they do not know about bottom up.
āThe last time I checked, you guys thought bottom up was about alcohol consumption composition, shame on you,ā Ruto said.
