ODM leader Raila Odinga has told his Nyanza supporters that he has finally discovered the secret of penetrating Mount Kenya, which has been depriving him of a chance to win the presidential election.
Speaking in Homa Bay County where he attended the funeral of David Ajwang Nyakwamba, the father of the county senator, Moses Kajwang and Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang, Mr Odinga said he had found a way to win votes in the area.
“This time I have seen the road to enter Mount Kenya. I have realized how I can penetrate the central part of the country and there is no going back, ”he said.
Mr Odinga, who is preparing for a fifth term, is considered President Uhuru Kenyatta’s choice to succeed him in the 2022 general election.
For the past three years now, he has been working closely with President Kenyatta who has strongly disagreed with his Deputy William Ruto.
