Northeastern Kenya (Mandera, Marsabit, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo) and Southeastern (Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Taita Taveta and parts of Kajiado) are likely to remain generally sunny and dry according to the Kenya Meteorological Department.
As the cold season approaches, the coastal strip is forecast to see less rainfall, while the central highlands, including Nairobi and parts of western Kenya, and the middle Rift Valley, are predicted to see occasional cool and foggy conditions with light precipitation.
Toward the end of the month, there may be a few afternoon showers in the region, originating in western Kenya.
The Lake Victoria Basin, Highlands West of the Rift Valley, and Central and South Rift Valley are predicted to get near-average rainfall in June, according to the rain forecast.
Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Laikipia, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, and Busia are among the towns in the region.
In the first part of the month, the Northwestern Region will be dry and sunny, with some rain forecast in the third week. Turkana, West Pokot, and Samburu are all part of the region.
Throughout June, rain is forecast along the coastal strip (Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale).
The Highlands East of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi, are likely to have cold and overcast conditions with light morning rainfall on occasion. Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, TharakaNithi, and Nairobi are among these areas.
It will be cool and chilly for a few days, with afternoon and evening showers possible.
