Deputy President William Ruto has said he is ready to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta without any conditions.
Speaking at his Karen residence on Thursday, the DP said he was elected with the President to work together.
“I hear Bishops want to bring us back together with the President. I am telling them I am ready,” he said.
The DP further said he respects the President as his boss.
“There are just a few people who came to poison our relationship and told the President to keep me out of government. I am telling them to look for their own government next year so that they can control it. Let them leave this one we formed with the President,” he stated.
Ruto said it was a good thing for him and the President to work together because they were elected jointly.
The DP’s sentiments come after reports that bishops in the country have been engaging in a behind-the-scene discussions aim at reconciling the President and his deputy.
