Ruto Spits Fire As He Warns Raila To Expect The Unexpected In 2022 Polls

Must read

DEPUTY PRESIDENT William Ruto has warned ODM leader Raila Odinga and other presidential candidates to prepare for the heavy political dust storm in the Luo Nyanza area.

In an effort to persuade locals to support him in 2022, Dr Ruto said he would be making regular visits to the area, which is considered Mr Odinga’s political stronghold. He said he would make another visit before the end of this year.

He said he would be visiting Kisumu, Homa Bay and Migori counties to get support from locals, who have been voting for Mr Odinga for a long time.

“It simply came to our notice then. I aim to build friendships between the Nyanza area and other parts of the country, “he said.

For example, he made his last visit to Homa Bay County in 2017, when he was accompanied by President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Mbita area. At the time, they were campaigning for the Jubilee Party (JP) to persuade locals to vote for the President in the 2017 elections.

Yesterday, Dr Ruto was well received at the Kendu Bay commercial centers, Adiedo Kadel and Olare. The reception seemed to persuade Dr Ruto to devise plans to make more visits to the area.

Speaking after meeting with UDA party leaders in Homa Bay on Wednesday night, Dr Ruto said he aimed to improve relations with locals as he prepares for the 2022 presidential election. .

“There is a perception that the Luo Nyanza area will not be able to vote for me. Personally, I cannot accept such assumptions. That is why I am here, “he said.

Dr Ruto and other politicians who appear to be Mr Odinga’s rivals are having a difficult time addressing the locals.

Some people even threw stones at his motorcade. Presidential candidate Jimmy Wanjigi also found himself in a similar situation. Dr Ruto said he believed his visits would eradicate politics and violence.

He blamed his rivals for the violence. “They have no agenda to tell their competitors. As a result, they often resort to violence to intimidate their competitors, ”he said.

I will make sure the concept is over, ”he added.
