Must read

Deputy President William Ruto has once again chastised leaders who are pressing for constitutional revisions, claiming that they are solely interested in their own self-interest.

According to the DP, the country’s priority was to repair the country’s shattered economy rather than hold a referendum.
He said this as he met with ladies running small enterprises in Kilifi County.

“It is not the time to focus on the review of the Constitution to create positions for a few leaders,” said Ruto.

“This is the time to direct our energies and resources to millions of vulnerable Kenyans and their ordinary hustles. It is the time to engage in a candid conversation that will make our country better,” said Ruto.

Deputy President William Ruto accused ODM leader Raila Amollo Odinga of being a conveyor belt for corruption. Ruto who was speaking on radio Jambo told off Raila accusing him of shielding his party MPs who are openly engaged in corrupt government tenders.

In a radio top show, Ruto dismissed Odinga’s Anti-corruption credentials accusing him of shielding legislators from his party who are engaged in corrupt government tenders.

“Mtu mwizi ambaye anatetea wezi ambao wameibia wakenya, COVID-billionaires, anasema atafunga watu na yeye ndiye mtetezi wa wale wameiba. Sasa hiyo ni vita gani io?. My idea of the fight against corruption is that we should remove politics from it,” said Ruto.

The Deputy President once again criticizing anti-graft agencies in the country accusing them of what he termed as corrupting the fight for political gains.

Ruto, claiming the handshake has been used by the opposition to frustrate Jubilee’s pre-election pledges.

“Tulifanya Kazi mzuri sana na Rais kwanza 2013. Na yale mambo yatakoenda katika legacy ya Rais ni mambo tumefanya from 2013,” said Ruto

On the appointment of six judges, the Dp defended the six judges left out saying they were condemned unheard.

Ruto defended the decision by the UDA to front a candidate against the Jubilee party in Kiambaa saying that the ruling party had in many instances shown no intentions to field candidates in the various by-elections that have been held in the country.
