A meeting of the Senate Committee on Labour and Social Welfare, chaired by Sen Johnson Sakaja considered submissions on the County Hall of Fame Bill, 2021 and the Persons With Disabilities (Amendment) Bill, 2020.
The County Hall of Fame Bill seeks to establish a county hall of fame in each county as an avenue through which the County Governments shall bestow honour on individuals within their respective counties acclaimed as being outstanding, exceptional or illustrious in any profession or activity.
The Persons With Disabilities (Amendment) Bill seeks to amend the Persons with Disabilities Act to provide for the functions of the national government and the county governments.
