Senator Seneta elected unopposed as Vice-chair of Senate Health Committee

Sen Mary Yiane Seneta has this morning been elected unopposed as the Vice-chair of the Senate Standing Committee on Health.

Sen Seneta’s candidature was proposed by Sen Fred Outa and seconded by Sen Beatrice Kwamboka.

“Thank you Honorable Senators for electing me as your Vice-chair. I wish to assure you of my commitment in the execution of the Committee’s mandate; for the benefit of the committee and Kenyans whom we serve,” Sen. Seneta said in her acceptance remarks.

Other Senators present at the meeting included- Sen Michael Mbito (Chair), Sen Ledama Olekina, Sen Abdullahi Ali and Sen Millicent Omanga.

The elections were conducted by the Office of the Clerk pursuant to Senate Standing Order 193.
