Shock – Dead after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca 44-year-old radio producer

Must read

Britain is shocked by the news of the death of the 44-year-old BBC radio producer Lisa Shaw, just days after the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine was given to the University of Oxford. Lisa, 44, who died last Friday, developed thrombosis and cerebral hemorrhage a week after the first dose of the vaccine, according to a statement from her family.

Excluding the ethos and journalistic work of the unfortunate Brit, her colleagues in the British network are devastated by her loss. Her provisional death certificate lists the vaccine as one of the possible factors being considered.

Lisa, the mother of one child, has worked as a radio producer at BBC Newcastle since 2015. She developed  “severe” headaches  (related to cerebral hemorrhage) a week after she was vaccinated with the injection and became seriously ill a few days later, according to with a statement from her family. He underwent treatment for  thrombosis  and cerebral hemorrhage. She died at the Royal Victoria Infirmary Hospital   in Newcastle, where she was treated, on Friday afternoon.

A hospital spokesman expressed his condolences for the loss of the radio producer but said he could not comment on the patient. “We are very saddened by Lisa’s news, but it would be inappropriate to discuss individual details about a patient. “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family at this difficult time,”  said a spokesman for the hospital, according to the British  Daily Mail.

Her colleagues at the BBC can not believe that their beloved colleague no longer exists. According  to BBC Radio Newcastle journalist  Rick Martin :  “Everyone on the station is devastated and thinking of Lisa’s wonderful family. She was a trusted colleague, a brilliant presenter, a wonderful friend and a loving wife and mom. He loved the radio very much and he was loved by our audience “.  For his part,  Chris Burns , head of BBC Local Radio, said:  “Lisa was a talented presenter, she had already achieved a lot and would do a lot more.”

However, according to the BBC, the medical examiner will investigate whether the real cause of her death is the complications she had after the AstraZeneca vaccine. Incidents of thrombosis after Oxford University AstraZeneca vaccination are considered  extremely rare . So far, 332 cases and 58 deaths  have been reported  in  Britain  after being vaccinated with the AstraZeneca injection. To date, almost 35 million Britons have been vaccinated   with this vaccine.

A spokesman for Britain’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency , meanwhile, said: ” We are saddened to hear of the death of a 44-year-old woman and her thoughts are with her family. “As with any serious suspected adverse reaction, reports of a fatal outcome are fully evaluated by the competent authorities, including an assessment of post-mortem details, if any.” “Our detailed and rigorous review of thrombosis reports in the presence of thrombocytopenia continues, ” he added.
