Smart Move Raila Odinga Has Taken In Mt. Kenya That May Give Him Victory In 2022

Must read

Barely a month since he launched the Azimio la Umoja campaign in Nakuru, ODM party leader Raila Oddinga was back in Nakuru this time to mourn the loss of his longtime friend and Kibiria Muchai , the founder of transport giant Mololine Services Limited.

Raila says he’s interested in a collaborative partnership with the vote rich Mount Kenya region and not a following.

Odinga said that institutionalized corruption was responsible for Kenya’s current woes.

Leaders allied to ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto sought  to woo voters.

“Our first agenda, our second agenda and our third agenda is fighting is fighting corruption. Do not create poverty in our society, make our children poor and then later become a savior but you are the creator,” said Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui.

The funeral service saw the supporters of the Deputy president and his political for foul Raila Odinga going at each other’s ideologies.

On his part Raila says he is seeking meaningful partnerships as he attempts to give the presidency another shot.

The late Kibira Muchai was eulogized as a hard-working entrepreneur whose impact in empowering the community and the church in El begun, will be immortalized in his work.

Meanwhile while addressing hundreds of Sultan Hamud residents in Kilome, Makueni County Tuesday, DP Ruto said that the next government will accommodate every Kenyan.

“We have agreed that in this country, no one will be left behind. Every time, they have been telling us to change the Constitution to create a prime minister’s post and to share power. We are telling them this time that before talking about changing the Constitution, let us change our economy,” Ruto said.

Ruto said that the Bottom-Up approach will be realised in his administration, whereby the common citizens will be involved in building the economy.

“The low-interest rate regime that the Bottom-Up Economic Model propagates presents a new investment environment that delivers SMEs and entrepreneurs from the bondage of shylocks, helping them access affordable loans to fulfill their start-up, cash flow and investment needs,” Ruto said.

The DP hit out at his opponents who have been criticizing him for inciting the youth with his agenda.

“When I said that let us start with those who are jobless, before debating on amending the Constitution and sharing positions, is that an incitement? Ruto asked.

He said that bodaboda riders, among other small businesses, are paying the taxes to the government, just like other leaders, hence, the need to be involved in government formation.

“We must come together and work towards containing political divisions in our country. When united, we acquire more stamina to conduct issues-based, people-centred politics that advances our country’s transformation agenda,” Ruto said.

Ruto also said that he is well informed about his bottom-up approach, and will not topple since he has been part of the government that developed hundreds of kilometres of roads and electric connectivity among others.

The DP added that he is aware of the plans that his opponents have against him, and he is well prepared as well to face them.
