Son of Monica cautions Meru residents against false prophets.

Must read

As we approach the 2022 general elections, Son of Monica has cautioned Meru residents against false prophets.

“People will be told a variety of lies and leaders will claim to have completed numerous development projects in the five years they have been in office,” said Son of Monica.

Son of Monica challenged Meru residents to pay a visit to the Mashinani and inspect a project that the Meru County government has initiated and completed.

“If there is any, they should compare the development to the Ksh 10 billion that Meru County receives every fiscal year. Every fiscal year, the office of Hon Kawira Mwangaza receives less than a tenth of the amount received by Meru County from the national government,” said Son of Monica.

“She is being fought for speaking the truth. She is like a mirror to the people of Meru, who look at it and are proud of themselves. My humble request to Hon Kawira Mwangaza is that she continue with her work and ignore the previous, ongoing, and planned protests against her.

“The people of Meru will continue to see her progress in buying clothes to children living with disabilities, donating water storage tanks to communities, awarding and disbursing bursary funds, funding groups, and donating uniforms, desks, and chairs to students.

“Protests against Hon Kawira Mwangaza will come and go, but at the end of five years, the truth will be revealed. The people of Meru are unconcerned if governor Kiraitu Murungi and his supporters claim he is a crocodile that is still in the water. What the people of Meru are interested in is a summary of the governor Kiraitu Murungi government’s development track record over the last five years.

Son of Monica questioned the essence of a personal assistant, security, office and allowances assigned to a nominated MCA.

“Nominated Meru Female MCAs should not be jealous of Hon Kawira Mwangaza, who is elected. They are envious because she gets up early before having tea to continue with the Okolea Kaana Ka Meru Operation, which is aimed at helping the Meru child.

“Instead of being jealous, Nominated Meru Female MCAs who organized June 28 protest against Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza should be supporting her by donating food to children’s homes, donating a percentage of their salary to the community, and donating wheelchairs to people with disabilities.

“The people of Meru will recognize that they are truly assisting them. The seats for which they were nominated were not intended for fighting with elected leaders. Hon Kawira Mwangaza was elected in Meru County’s 45 wards and 9 constituencies.

Son of Monica schooled the nominated Meru Female MCAs who organized the June 28 protests against Meru County Woman Representative Hon. Bishop Kawira Mwangaza on the distinction between being an elected leader and a nominated leader.

He informed the nominated Meru Female MCA’s role in the county assembly is to represent the people in their wards and not to pick fights with elected leaders.
