Edith Mergue Traina, at the age of 100, recently entered the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest competing female powerlifter.
“I thought I was too big for these things, but then I realized I wasn’t. “I found it to be not only a good exercise, but it was a good challenge,” said Edith. The elderly woman started participating in competitions at the age of 91, when a longtime friend introduced her to the gym.
