A bird entered the right turbine of the aircraft, causing it to catch fire.
The passengers of the flight at the airport of Atlantic City in the USA “longed”, as shortly before the take-off of the plane, one of its turbines caught fire.
Spirit Airlines Flight 3044 was scheduled to take off from Atlantic City International Airport for Florida at 5:45 pm Saturday (local time).
However, the take-off was canceled at the last minute after one of the plane’s engines caught fire.
All passengers and crew were safely removed from the plane by descending from the “slide” to the emergency exit, according to NBC.
