Video captures the scene where the ground “opens” and swallows the first car.
A huge hole caused yesterday when the ground collapsed in a parking lot outside a hospital in Jerusalem “swallowed” three cars.
According to the Times of Israel, seven fire trucks rushed to the parking lot of Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the afternoon, when they were notified that the ground had receded and that cars had fallen into the hole created. Fortunately, there were no injuries from the incident.
As the publication explains, the ground retreat is believed to have been caused by road works being carried out nearby.
A tunnel under construction, which passes under the hospital and the parking lot, seems to have collapsed at some point, local media report.
