The stream that “kills”: Whoever puts his foot in ends up dead (VIDEO)

Must read

It is a part of the river Wharfe, near the city of York in England. It is called Bolton Strid and is essentially a stream that foretells nothing bad.

On the contrary, the whole environment is picturesque and idyllic. However, although it seems easy to step on its stones and pass it, if you find yourself in this stream, then you will end up dead.

At some point in the river the water changes direction and the river becomes narrow. Waterfalls form at that point, in the natural void of the rock.

These waterfalls end up in a deep underwater stream. The current is not visible from the surface, and that is where various things end up and unfortunately, many people.

The death toll is not exact, as the first victim, according to legend, was William de Romilli in 1154, whose death became a poem.

Since then, many have lost their lives, and in many cases their bodies have not been found.

No one can know for sure how deep the Bolton Strid is. Many people thought that the small width would not be a big obstacle, but in the end the phenomena deceive and many daredevils who questioned or did not know the legends, disappeared after the earth literally swallowed them.

There are many scary stories. In 1998, Barry and Lynn Collet were on their honeymoon. On the second day of their trip they were walking by the river, when a heavy rain made the water level rise about 1.5 meters in less than a minute.

Lynn was found dead a week later, while Barry’s body was found a month later. An eyewitness said he saw a man’s face suddenly appear on the surface and disappear within seconds.

In 2010, an 8-year-old boy had his birthday. The boy was playing carefree on the rocks near the stream, on one of the hottest days of the year.

At one point he slipped and fell into the water. A passerby grabbed him by the shirt, but the current was so strong that 8-year-old Aaron Page disappeared from the ground.

It is undoubtedly one of the most dangerous rivers on the planet. This is mainly because the danger is not visible and anyone who does not know the history of Bolton Strid, can also disappear below the surface…
