The United States today blocked access to the websites of many Iranian state-owned media outlets, which now carry the message that they have been “seized” by the US government.

The websites of Al Alam (Arabic-language) and Press-TV (English-language) news channels, as well as the Al Masirah channel of the Yemeni Houthi rebels, display the same message, namely that the domain name was confiscated as part of the sanctions imposed. imposed by Washington on Tehran.

The message is accompanied by signals from the federal police and the US Department of Commerce.

State television Irib, under the auspices of which some of these channels operate, denounced the blocking of “Media Revealing the Crimes of US Allies in the Region”.

“While the Democratic government in the United States says it supports freedom of expression, it is effectively shutting down the media,” he said, referring to Israel and Saudi Arabia, two of Washington’s historic allies in the Middle East.

According to Iranian television, the channels Al-Allah, Palestine Al-Youm, Naba and Al-Kawthar have also been blocked.
