A spokesman for the Taliban ‘s political bureau told Al Jazeera on Sunday that the war in Afghanistan was “over” and that the nature and form of the new regime would soon be clear.

The Mohammad Naim assured that no diplomatic establishment and any diplomatic corps was not objective, and that the fundamentalist movement guarantees the safety of foreign and diplomatic missions .

“We are ready for dialogue with all forms in Afghanistan and to guarantee them the necessary protection, ” the Taliban spokesman told Qatar TV.

He stressed that the movement takes every step responsibly and that it intends to ensure peace with everyone.

The Afghan president has left Kabul

Taliban fighters entered Kabul on Sunday and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled Afghanistan to avoid what he called a “bloodbath”.

The Islamists are practically in the final stages of regaining power in the country, two decades after their overthrow by the US-led invasion of an international military coalition.

According to the APE-MPE, for Mohammad Naim, Mr. Ghani’s escape was unexpected, “even those closest to him did not expect it”.

For him, the fundamentalist guerrillas are reaping the rewards of their twenty-year efforts and sacrifices. “We have achieved what we sought, freedom for our country and independence for our people,” he said.

“We will not allow anyone to use our territory to target anyone and we do not want to harm anyone,” said a Taliban spokesman, speaking in Washington.

Mohammad Naim said the Islamist fighters would not interfere in the internal affairs of other states and expected that no state would interfere in the affairs of Afghanistan.

“We do not expect foreign forces to repeat their failures in Afghanistan again,” the Taliban spokesman said, adding that the movement was ready to address the concerns of the international community through dialogue.
