A tragedy occurred Monday in San Antonio, Texas, when a 28-year-old mother was shot dead, with the murder taking place in front of her three children, reports the New York Post.
The murder took place when the unfortunate woman had put her children, aged 2, 6 and 10, in the car to take them to school.
The 28-year-old fell dead next to her car shortly after 7:15 on Monday morning and her 30-year-old estranged husband, who was found in a house near the scene of the murder, is considered a suspect in the murder.
According to the San Antonio police chief, the 30-year-old was out of jail on bail as he had repeatedly violated the restrictive conditions imposed on him.
“I can not express my anger that this happened after so many times we dealt with this person,” he said characteristically.
He called for the improvement of the institutional framework for the protection of victims of domestic violence.
The three children of the 28-year-old who was murdered have been given to their grandmother.
