Thousands of wananchi from all walks of life arrived at Wang’uru Stadium in Mwea, Kirinyaga County for this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations.
Mashujaa/Heroes Day is an annual national public holiday marked on 20th October in honour of freedom fighters and all those that contribute to the progress of post-independence Kenya.
In strict compliance with Covid-19 containment protocols on social distancing, the number of Kenyans in the brand new 10,000-capacity Wang’uru Stadium has been capped at 3,000 people.
