A heavy goods truck crashed into a car and exploded on a busy road in Britain, with authorities expressing fears of many deaths from the crash.
A major rescue and rescue operation was launched after the horrific highway accident in Durham County. The road was expected to remain closed until late Friday morning, according to the Daily Mail.

Police appealed for material from traffic cameras to find out the causes of the accident that occurred at 6 on Thursday afternoon.
“Unfortunately, there appear to have been fatal injuries,” county police said. Images from the scene showed that a truck appeared to have collided with several cars before falling on the main island and catching fire.
The wreckage was scattered for several hundred meters on the road behind the truck. A white Range Rover was badly damaged, while other cars were damaged.
Emergency services remained on the scene in the early hours of Friday morning. Durham Police are calling for information after the clash that took place at 6.30 pm.
