The Public Accounts Committee in the National Assembly chaired by Ugunja MP Hon Opiyo Wandayi today met with the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Finance Dr Julius Muia.
The PS appeared before the Committee to answer to Audit Queries raised by the office of the Auditor General on the examined Accounts for the National Treasury for the financing year 2018/2019.
Among the issues raised by the Auditor General were: Failure by Treasury to maintain a fixed asset register, Unsupported prior year adjustments reported in the statement of assets and liabilities, Failure to close project for years despite the financing agreements, among other issues.
