At least 12 people were killed yesterday, Saturday night, in Suez, Egypt, when the bus they were on overturned.
According to the Egyptian press, the fatal bus was carrying families returning from the Sharm El Sheikh resort in Cairo.
The injured are at least 34, according to the data so far. Thirty ambulances immediately arrived in the area to transport the injured from the crash site to Suez General Hospital and other nearby hospitals. Some of the injured were in critical condition.
According to the official Egyptian Statistical Service (CAPMAS), in 2020 the number of road accidents in the country increased by 17.8%, compared to 2019.
