The two fishermen who plunged into the hippo infested lake Victoria yesterday after stumbling on six 60mm mortar bombs while fishing, have resurfaced. They have this afternoon rejoined their counterparts at Litare beach in Rusinga Island.
The two have recounted to DCI detectives how they hastily swam to safety, to the nearby Rabuor Island oblivious of the life threatening danger that they had exposed themselves to.
- Lightning strikes wedding party – Dead 17 guests
- Two dead and significant damage in forest fires
- 6 bombs discovered in Lake Victoria
They attributed their being alive to their enviable swimming attributes that came in handy in their hour of need. This to allay any fears from the detective’s audience, who have been inquiring on their whereabouts.
The fishermen are full of life and shall be setting sail later in the afternoon, on yet another fishing voyage! The DCI wished them a handsome catch!
