UAE Eid Al Fitr 2021: Dh10,000 fine for gatherings, parties

The Abu Dhabi Police Department has announced that Eid Al Fitr gatherings and parties are prohibited in the UAE capital. This is a precautionary measure taken by Covid.

According to the police, the host of such gatherings will be fined Dh10,000, and each guest will be fined Dh5,000.

A top Dubai Police officer said on Monday that gatherings of more than five people are prohibited in the city. Hosts of such parties would face a fine of Dh50,000, with each guest facing a fine of Dh10,000.

Residents were urged to follow all Covid safety measures, including mask use and social distancing, by the Abu Dhabi Police Department. Gatherings at home, on farms, or in any other public location are strictly prohibited.

Residents were urged to avoid social practices that endanger their health and safety, according to the police.

Residents can call 8002626 to report violations of Covid’s safety rules.
