President Uhuru Kenyatta received the results of the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams today at State House in Nairobi, ahead of their public release.
Education CS Prof George Magoha delivered the findings to the Head of State at a briefing attended by Head of Public Service Dr Joseph Kinyua, Early Learning and Basic Education PS Dr Julius Jwan, and TSC CEO Nancy Macharia and her KNEC counterpart Mercy Karogo.
President Kenyatta congratulated the 2020 KCSE candidates on their outstanding success in the face of the challenges faced by Covid-19, and thanked education sector stakeholders for the smooth administration of the examinations.
At the same time, the President observed Prof Fatuma Chege’s inauguration as the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Education’s new State Department for Curriculum Reform Implementation.
The Head of State expressed trust in Prof Chege’s ability to direct the new curriculum’s continuing implementation.
“You have been at the forefront of this curriculum’s growth. “You know what needs to be done,” President Chege instructed Prof Chege.
