Meru senator Mithika Linturi while addressing reporters said that UDA party resembles the great Safina because it does not get full and everyone should come to the hustler nation.
Gatundu Mp Moses Kuria was angered by the senator’s sentiments that UDA as a party did not have a surrogate child in Kiambaa and Muguga which was addressed to Kuria’s PEP party that fielded a candidate.
“This is like the great Safina because it does not get full, everyone should come to hustler nation. Because that is what we believe in and that is what we profess, I want to say that UDA as a party has no surrogate child in Kiambaa and Muguga. These are our candidates,” said Linturi.
“I would like to appreciate our candidates in Muguga and Kiambaa wards and want to wish you well in the campaigns. Let me state unequivocally that UDA as a party believes that power belongs to the people
“That power belongs to the people, an opportunity that has arisen in Muguga and Kiambaa is an opportunity for the Kiambaa people and Muguga people to make a decision on who they want to transfer or delegate that sovereign power to them, to exercise it on their behalf.
“For that matter, I would want to hunch anybody who is a democrat, any leader in this country to appreciate that we have to give these people an opportunity to decide who their leader will be in the next few months before we get into the next general election
“What I want to appeal because of what we’ve seen before or what we saw last week during the elections, I want to tell the security agencies that when we decided to change your name from a police force to a police service is because we knew that you people must be transformed to get into a situation whereby you must understand your mandate is to offer security and ensure there is peace to everyone
Your business is not to engage in politics.
“It is to guard politicians and people seeking votes to get elected in a free environment that is devoid of any violence. So kindly take your position and secure everyone because the last decision must be made by the public.
“As a party, we have a position that we are not willing to compromise in these by-elections. Number one is peace, number two is peace and number three is peace. For those who might be going out there, the hustler nation is a movement that is unstoppable.
“It must be understood that time has come for the people to decide on where they want to get this country to and we all have an opportunity through the hustler movement. Anybody who wants you are welcome,” he said.
