Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has challenged Dp Ruto saying that he has decided that his strategy of doing politics is from a pulpit.
“That you will go and take money to a church and use that money to buy that pulpit so that you can spew hatred so that you can spew division so that you can spew confusion,” Wambugu said.
“My colleague Hon. Kanini Kega has reminded us that in 2007 in the middle of post-election violence, people ran to a church imagining that they were going to be protected, that they were good to find safe haven, that nobody would have the guts to go after them in the church because the church is Holy Ground, because a church is protected, is that church is something that we respect,” Wambugu said.
Wambugu said that people were burnt in the church, the church was burnt and people died in the church.
He said how the country got to that point is because we desecrated the church the way we have started to desecrate the church.
