In a chilling crime, residents of Kongo Acheke in Meru County have spoken about shock in their community after the discovery of a burning car.
The alarm was raised when residents received reports of a car being on fire in a remote area in Kongo Acheke.
Locals rushed to the scene after being alerted to the incident at approximately 9.00 am. They found a burning vehicle, with all the doors unlocked and windows open.

According to a resident, a woman allegedly burnt her husband’s saloon car to ashes. The woman has been not named locally and locals are deeply shocked by the horrific events.
Meanwhile, the resident encouraged members of the public to find counselling in the event of disputes and to resolve domestic differences peacefully.
“I believe she was having an argument with her husband and decided to set fire to the car. Before setting it ablaze, she drove it to a location where it would be impossible to be seen. It is preferable to file for divorce rather than commit arson,” said the resident.
