Witnesses reveal chilling details of Ntuchiu’s killer officer shooting man

Must read

Details have emerged on why a police officer attached to Meru Deputy Governor Titus Ntuchiu’s home in Kimachia shot and killed a man in a cold blood murder.

Eyewitnesses have opened up about the murder hours after the officer is said to have shot Morris Mutuma twice in the back of the head.

According to Wilfred Mwongera, Morris Mutuma came across Ntuchiu’s workers who had blocked a road with maize stover. When he asked them why they did, they called Ntuchiu’s mother who sent Alex Kinoti, a police officer attached to Meru Deputy Governor Titus Ntuchiu’s home.

“When the officer arrived, he started chasing after him. When Morris tripped over while running, the officer shot him twice in the back of the head,” Wilfred Mwongera said.

Wilfred said that his late brother was not a thief, and had spent the entire day working. He demanded justice and an explanation for why his brother was murdered.

A sister to the deceased claimed that the officer was acting on orders from Ntuchiu, who had called for his assassination. She demanded that Ntuchiu be prosecuted and that he explain why his brother was shot.

The officer pursued him from his home to Kionde village, where he shot him for no apparent reason. My brother’s wife is unable to provide for the child because she is still recovering from surgery. I demand that Ntuchiu support the family,” Morris Mutuma’s sister said.

Mwenda, an eyewitness said that when they called the media to cover the scene, the police arrived and forcefully collected the body. He demanded that justice be served and the truth be revealed.

“It is alleged that police attached to Ntuchiu’s home were sent to pick up Morris Mutuma and later shoot him. We don’t know why he was shot because we found him dead and they weren’t at the scene,” Mwenda said.

According to Morris Mutuma’s sister, police fired live bullets into the air and pelted protesters with teargas. She said that she was enraged because a two-week-old child had been left behind without a father.

“Ntuchiu should tell us whether or not he will support the child,” Morris Mutuma’s sister said.

Kelvin, Morris Mutuma’s cousin said that Ntuchiu’s government should support the wife and her two-week-old child.

“My cousin was on his way home from work, carrying milk and a banana for the child when he was fatally shot,” Kelvin said.

Members of the Kimachia Community claimed that because Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi and Deputy Governor Ntuchiu promised to make Meru great, they wondered if making Meru great was through killing people.
