The brother to the deceased says the incident might have been triggered by a property division dispute. He revealed that the couple had a divorce case pending in court.
“We are speculating; we are not sure. Probably it is because of property that it happened,” the unidentified brother told local television.
According to the Juja Directorate of Criminal Investigations Officer (DCIO), Richard Mwaura promised justice to the family and confirmed that the victim died of excessive bleeding.
Mwaura said the murder incident was premeditated.
“A post mortem report died on August 11. The preliminary report indicates that he died as a result of excessive bleeding that was occasioned by injuries she sustained,” Mwaura said.
Mwaura confirmed that the suspect is being held pending investigations.
