“Due to the state of the roads, expectant mothers are forced to give birth before arriving at the hospital.
We used to depend on Miraa, but the loss of the market has made us unable to provide for our families,” said a resident.
Another resident said: “Young people are jobless. We implore our MCA to ensure the development of opportunities in order to prevent youth from becoming useless.
Furthermore, due to many obstacles, not all young people complete higher education. Young people would benefit from employment by starting their own businesses.
College students do not receive enough bursaries. We request the busary aloocation for each student to be increased to Ksh 10,000.
It will motivate primary school students to realize that they will be able to complete their higher education.”
